General Info: Kabuto is a spy, a doctor, and a ninja. He is also a bit of a bastard, and has spent most of his life developing a huge inferiority complex dealing with not having getting recognition for anything. That doesn't, however, mean that he's not incredibly good at what he does. Unfortunately, he's having some difficulty keeping sane thanks to getting a prep class in self-respect from one of the few people who might be more messed up than he is.

Perhaps this is too late, and some would find it unwarranted. But none-the-less, today is a very important one for someone close to me.

Happy Birthday, Orochimaru-sama. Thank you for everything you have done for us.

[There is cake at the Forbidden Jutsu tonight: both a rather garish purple and yellow store bought cake the size of a table and a small, home made cake that will appear on Orochimaru's desk, along with a small bundle of presents. Kabuto is no good at parties, but his actions are heart felt and honest.]

I have finally finished unpacking and cleaning my appartment. Nothing seems to have been disturbed in the time that I was away, and for that I am grateful. Despite the dust, it is comforting to know that there is always a place that is wholly mine to return to. Now, with my books and samples unpacked and my kitchen restocked, it finally feels like home again.

As per usual, anyone working for the club who needs a few hours to sleep is free to crash on my couch. Just ask for the spare key when you check your snake at the door. That does not mean, however, I want any repeat of the New Years Prank fiasco. Remember, I will take any damage out of your paycheck. Also, the back rooms is off limits, for your own safety.

I will be resuming my work at the Forbidden Jutsu shortly. The supplies I was sent to purchase will be arriving sometime tonight - do not be alarmed at the the movers, they are under strict orders to not harm anyone in the club. Still, for safeties sake, they will be using the fortified back entrance. As always, your help in keeping customers out of the 'back rooms' is much appreciated.

"Kitty, I'm home."

Kabuto called, swinging the door behind him and putting his blood-spattered briefcase down.

"Kitty?"

He knew she had been scheduled to be off tonight. It was one of the rare occasions when their schedules had matched, and they had been able to plan something in advance. Still, her absence would not have surprised him - given the chaotic nature of this place - were it not for the fact that he felt something wrong.

The ninja managed not to bolt at the feeling - instead he simply strode purposefully through each room, checking to see what the source of his discomfort was.

None of her things were there. He froze, trying to take this fact in. Was it something he had done? Something he had forgotten, or missed? She couldn't be...gone, could she?


His hands drifted to the cell phone at his hip, and he dialed her number, trying to keep his hands from shaking. He knew he should have never let himself get attached like this. He wouldn't be feeling like this if he had forgotten how to care...

Kabuto leans easily against the steps out side his new apartment. He is dressed in loose, but professional, cloths, and seems far more comfortable than the last time he spoke to the community. Half his face is covered in a white scar, but pedestrians passing by don't seem to notice. He nods to his landlady, and smiles at a friend from the college he is supposedly attending.

He's waiting for an appointment, and to begin to pay back his debt.
